I was sleepwalking. I thought I was dreaming but I was not.
I'm touched. I'm grateful. I'm lost for words.
Thank you. :)

Tuesday, May 19, 2009 Taiwan - Taipei Day 9 (Taroko Gorge)
Taroko Gorge (太魯閣國家公園), one of the wonders of Taiwan. The national park spans the counties of Hualien, Taichung and Nantou. We spent about 2hours on the High Speed Rail before arriving at Hualien.
Lucky, we booked a cab for the park tour. If not, we would be dead from climbing the mountains.
At the entrance to the park. Shakadang Trail
Eternal Spring Shrine (長春祠)
Tunnel of Nine Turns (九曲洞)
The name says nine turns, but according to our cab driver, there are more than 9. The chinese name just means many turns.
At one of the nine turns along the trail
The rock that look like the head of a Red Indian
See it?
The Bridge of the Kind Mother (慈母橋)
Yes, thats the bridge english name. Hahaha.
And we are the children of the kind mothers.
Baiyang Trail
The way to where Sun Wukong stay. Hahaha. Darkness and lots of bats along the way.
The waterfall that never breaks in between
The entrance of Water Curtain Cave (水濂洞)
We thought we will see Sun Wukong. There was no monkey but lots of falling water.
LOL
The water under our feet is really cold.
In the cave
Those dots are not caused by dirt on the camera lens. They are water.
All pictures in the cave are taken by our cab driver.
Forgot whats the name of this bridge already.
We did lots of jump shots here. LOL.
This is only one of the many.
Michelle the lousy can't jump. HAHAHAH.
Taiwan and Taipei have been really fun. It had been a long time since I enjoyed myself so much. Full marks for company, joy, and laughter. It was really a good time to get away and forget about the things at home. But all good things always come to an end quickly. 10d9n in Taiwan over just like that.
Nevertheless it was a nice getaway before I serve the country as slave.
When's the next time we travel again? When when?

Day 8 (Danshui Fisherman's Wharf, Bali Island, Danshui Old Street)
On the Lover's Bridge
Bali Island
Not the one in Indonesia. We took a ferry over but it was a disappointment. There was nothing to see and we were under the rain.
Ah Gei
A must try at Danshui
We brought fireworks!
Most of them, especially the one that fly into the sky cannot be played in Singapore, so we abused our privileges in Taiwan. Hahaha.
Don't let this picture fool you
Michelle was actually screaming while holding those sparkles.
One last day of Taiwan adventure and pictures coming up soon!
